Who knew being unemployed would be such hard work?

So for the five people who may stumble across this blog and have no clue who I am, I recently lost my job.

I worked for an attorney as a receptionist. I was hired for 6 weeks as a temp and stayed for a year and a half. At some point though, I do plan to leave the nest and transfer from community college to a four-year university. So they found somebody more permanent to fill my position. No big deal. (Except for my grandma, who wanted me to stay at my job and never go away to college. Ohh Grandma! Hahahaha.)

Since my termination, things have been insanely busy. I spent 3 weeks at my Dad's house in Florida. It was a grand time. I returned a week and a half ago and I don't think there has been a slow day since.

When I pictured unemployment, I imagined a lot of couch sitting and time to catch up on some overdue chores, blah blah blah. But it has been crazy. I think I have done everything. Swimming trips, girls lunch, spray painted everything that would lie still, cooking, packing, cleaning, vaccuming, sweeping, sewing, grocery shopping, buying 70lbs of sliced ham for church camp, music practice, book club, Walmart runs. Oh my!

But I'm really not complaining. It has (mostly) been fun and I have enjoyed the time off. I have church camp all week, next week. Pretty excited about that. I've been working closely with a group of great people and seeing this endeavor come to fruition is so exciting.

It won't be long until I'm back at Mineral College: where the freaks flow freely! Oh joy!

Enjoy this picture of me and the guy working in the deli where we bought 70lbs of ham!
